Do yourself a favor and read on.  Rejoin your family of professionals, and bask in a lifetime of wonderful memories.  I heartily endorse this!  Shel Swartz

The Media Gang is a roster of several hundred retired and veteran (20 or more active years) members of the Boston and New England media, arts, and related fields. We get together twice a year for Nostalgia Lunches. They're held during the day out of respect for aging eyes which are more comfortable driving during daylight hours.

On the roster are not just talent but men and women from all levels in all of the firms — ranging from owners/managers to the most menial of jobs. Since all were responsible for the success of each company, all participate in this well-attended and highly enjoyable project.

Other career fields included are PR/Marketing/Publicity, plus the advertising and production communities. You'll find voiceover artists, stage and on-camera actors, producers, writers, DJs, talk hosts, writers, stenos, folks from all the technical areas of all the businesses, mingling with sales people, managers — the whole ball of wax.

The war stories flow at each table, of course. That's what it's all about. And everyone learns who's there from Jordan Rich's walk-around following lunch — he has a wireless mike and each participant gets introduced and has a chance to say hello.

These wonderful, fun-filled events are priced reasonably so all can afford to come, and are at suburban function halls where parking is free and plentiful.

If your background in these fields includes Boston/New England, provide a snail mail address for the next mailings and, if you're interested, you'll learn more about The Media Gang that way.
